Our fun teachers connect with their students, inspiring them to achieve. We believe that when you enjoy your instrument, you stick with it. Our patient, encouraging approach blended with a friendly yet firm teaching style allows you to learn the songs you love. We strive to create an environment of self-motivated practice. Our instructors showcase their passion for teaching today’s popular music, as well as the classics. We emphasize learning numerous songs/pieces and showcasing them with peers in our exciting performance opportunities. Through preparation and practice, you will gain confidence and enjoy performing in various concert settings. Our teachers pass proficiency tests, multiple interviews, and a national criminal background check prior to being hired.

Nate Mueller – Founder

Nate Mueller is the president and founder of Musicians Mobile. He has been teaching music at local schools throughout the Bay Area since 2002. In 2003, Nate chose to take his teaching directly to students by providing lessons in their own homes, providing an added convenience for both the parents and students. Outside of teaching music, Nate is a successful music producer. He has provided entertainment for brands such as the Golden State Warriors and the US Olympic Team. Additionally, his compositions have been licensed to ABC,VH1,MTV and featured on the hit show Modern Family.

Jared W. – Piano Director

Jared teaches piano/guitar/saxophone with pop, jazz and classical influences. He is an enthusiastic teacher with experience performing in a variety of ensembles. Jared is a very patient teacher, offering a wealth of knowledge in technique and performance that he is passionate about sharing with his students. Additionally, Jared is well versed in organizing advanced jazz band sectionals and recitals for Buchser Middle School. Jared received his Bachelors in Music from San Jose State University.

Grant W. – Piano

Grant began studying classical piano at age 7 and won a statewide music competition by the age of 15. He continued studying piano at the University of Virginia under the tutelage of a Juilliard-trained instructor. Grant is excellent at connecting with students through his friendly and focused style of teaching that spans genres from classical to contemporary pop. Inspired by classical, ragtime, and rock influences he regularly composes and records musical compositions for his online channel. In addition to students gaining a strong foundation in music fundamentals, Grant helps students discover their creative potential by learning to improvise and create unique renditions of the songs they most enjoy.


Eric R. – Piano/Guitar

Eric has been a professional musician and music teacher for more than 18 years, instructing students in both piano and guitar. With a dual focus on theory and music appreciation/history, he also teaches band rehearsal etiquette and has served as a show director for seasonal performances. Eric displays a keen, instinctive sense of how to work with children, encouraging a love of music along with the self-confidence needed to perform in front of others. Eric graduated from Musicians Institute-Guitar Institute of Technology and Atlanta Institute of Music.

David A. – Drums/Percussion

David Arnold teaches drums and percussion. His teaching style is focused around creative development and technical capability. David coaches students to select their own musical direction by requesting to learn songs from the artists they most enjoy. David’s own experience in percussion ranges across several styles, including rock, pop, jazz and dance. David was instructed by Bay Area jazz legends, Wally Schnalle and Chris Ortega.

Carl A. – Guitar Director

Carl teaches guitar to all ages across a range of genres including classical, jazz, rock, pop, and folk. His teaching emphasizes learning to read and understand music literature, tone production, proper technique, and musicality. In addition to teaching, Carl also performs for events such as weddings, parties and music festivals. Carl holds a Bachelors of Arts in Music from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Avi S. – Voice/Guitar

Avi has been a teacher of voice and guitar in the Bay Area for more than 10 years. His patient approach and inspiring lessons help students of all ages explore a variety of interests and techniques. His lessons display a deep passion for music balanced with a focus on note reading and development of listening skills. Avi aims to help students easily understand and access even the most challenging music. Avi introduces students to a diverse array of genres including rock, pop, musical theater and classical. Avi attended the University of California at Santa Cruz where he studied vocal performance.


Kyle P. – Guitar

Kyle is a professional guitarist with 13 years of performance experience. He specializes in playing blues, rock, country, pop, fusion, folk, and slide guitar. His patient, encouraging teaching style give students the confidence to excel and grow with each lesson.  He enjoys helping students unlock the secrets behind their favorite songs.  Kyle plays lead guitar for The Coffis Brothers and the Mountain Men, who have recorded two albums with airplay on stations across the country and on Sirius XM radio. He has shared the stage with Mike Campbell, Jackie Greene, Trigger Hippy, Carolyn Wonderland, The Mother Hips, and Lukas Nelson, among others. He graduated from The Berklee College of Music in Boston with BA in Professional Music.


Stephen F. – Guitar/Drums/Piano

Stephen is a dedicated musician specializing in providing quality private instruction on guitar, piano and drum-set. He has been performing in the Bay Area and along the California coast for 15 years with various groups encompassing a wide range of styles, including rock, alternative, classic rock, punk rock, big band, and jazz. He also performs classical and folk guitar styles, having studied extensively with Bill Coulter. Stephen has been teaching private lessons in the Bay Area for 10 years, providing tailored instruction for students ranging from six years old to adults. His approach to teaching is, first and foremost, to build on and development the interests of the student. He strives to provide a fun and relaxed environment, while still challenging each student to reach their potential. Stephen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
